How have your children been coping with recent deaths, due to COVID19?

It many be difficult to assess how children or persons with a disability are coping, over the course of the pandemic. You may have had to answer some questions or even explain what it means for someone to die.

The anxiety of potentially losing love ones or even our own lives is just as painful now as it was in the beginning of 2020, when we in the States first began hearing about deaths of coronavirus.

But the fear and anxiety surrounding death is timeless and ubiquitous.

What is death? For a child, it may be difficult to process what is happening in their environment.

The use of social stories will help you develop and expand on conversation. Social stories will guide you through tough topics with your loved one that may be hard to explain. You can use the book in its entirety or choose certain concepts to discuss with your child.
